5 star stay! Erik’s place is quiet, clean and in a great location. Anything you could possibly need is within walking distance(stores,beach, restaurants,etc.) Erik is a great host, good upfront communication and always available if needed! Definitely returning.

This was a great quick getaway for me and my husband. Simple, clean, close to everything. The hosts were kind and helpful with local spots and events. We will be back! It would be a great spot in any season!

Awesome location next to our favorite marina. Very fun and funky layout with tons of old Outer Banks charm. Tried out all the outdoor showers and roof decks and met some new friends in another unit. Thanks so much to Erik, he was awesome to deal with. Accommodated last minute stay and answered everything so quickly.

We are a simple family that travels together and looks for great locations. This house is an old house that the owner is working to restore. It is in a great location for Hatteras fishing trips and access to the sound. Erik was a very friendly host and lived nearby for any questions. He offered anything we could ever ask for even though we could t take advantage of it. If you are in Hatteras and looking for a good location, consider this one.

Erik is a super responsive host!! Plenty of room for our [grown] family of 5 and conveniently located next to a grocery, docks, beaches and good restaurants (check out the Sat night fish fry at the fire station!). The living area is a little unconventional (and uncomfortable) - but clean. Bring bug spray if you intend to spend any time outside… and don’t count on the beach chairs, canoes or SUP equipment. It’s either unusable or tremendously hard to retrieve. Overall - decent stay for a quick beach trip on short notice.

We had the best time and a wonderful stay in Hatteras! The house was in a convenient,walkable distance to a market, a coffee shop, and a short drive to the beach. The home was clean and so cozy!

Everything you could want in an AirB&B stay: Accomodations were excellent, host was excellent, location was perfect...and this was a perfect time of year to escape to the cape when the summer crowds have gone.

I booked a few days at Promised Land for a romantic getaway with my fiancée. Making arrangements and plans with Erik and Penny was easy and straightforward. Erik greeted us on arrival and showed us to our room. The grounds, common spaces and personal space were clean and well appointed. I proposed while lounging in this paradise and she accepted! Overall, Promise Land exceeded our expectations. We’re already planning on going back for our anniversary. Thank you Erik and Penny!

Had a super time at Rick and Erik's place. Close to fishing docks and everything in town. Place was clean, good bedding and shower, nice kitchen and they were helpful and accommodated our special request. Will definitely come back for a longer visit!

The place was clean and cute, the bed was comfortable, Rich made the whole stay really easy, and there was more relaxing to be done and ice cream to be found on this funky little island than I could get to in one week. I 100% would recommend.

Great location not to far from the beach great restaurants. Erik and Rick were very nice and helpful.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay! This love shack has everything you need for daily use! Bathroom area is small but shower is awesome. Great location close to marina, market, shops and driving distance to the Beach! Lots of restaurants nearby. Rick and Erik are great hosts! Will def be back! Thank you for our stay!

Our stay at Erik's was pretty good. The location was top notch if you want to be in Hatteras. My trio of three enjoyed the space and we even liked the guests that shared the unit next door. We were able to help each other out and talk about our shared interest in Kite boarding.
